Wireless/Wifi/WPS Connection set-up Guide For Hp laserjet cp2025

Before we start, there are however some conditions that must be met in order to use the WPS pushbutton method:
The access point must have a physical WPS push button available, please check with your device’s user guide for details.
Ur network must be using the WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) or WPA2 security protocol. Most WPS enabled access points will not connect using the WPS method if the WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) security method is used, or if no security is enabled. For details on which security method is being used on your wire-less network, please check the wireless connection settings on your computer.
Please follow the steps below to complete the set-up.
Make sure the wire-less router is in range of the printer & the WPS button is ready to be pressed.

Press & hold the (Wireless) button (A) on the printer until the wire-less lamp (B) flashes.

Press the (Wireless) button until the Direct lamp (D) lights up.

Press the (Colour) button, & make sure that the ON lamp (E) & the wire-less lamp flash, then press the (WPS) button on the wire-less router within 2 minutes. The blue WiFi lamp on the printer will continue to flash while searching, & the Power & WiFi lamps will flash when connecting to the access point.

When the printer has successfully made a connection to your wire-less network, the Power & WiFi lamps will stop flashing & remain lit. The network lamp will also light up.

Network settings confirmation

To confirm that your printer is successfully connected to your wire-less network, u can print out the network settings of your printer if u wish:
  • Make sure that your printer is turned on.
  • Load a sheet of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper.
  • Press & hold the (Wi-Fi) until the WiFi lamp flashes once, & then release it.
  • Press the (Colour)
  • Press the (Wi-Fi)
  • Press the (Colour)
When referring to the printout, check that “Connection” indicates “Active” & that the SSID -Service Set Identifier (the name of your wire-less network) indicates the correct name of your wire-less network.

If your access point does not support the WPS feature, use the following instructions to set your printer up on your wire-less network:
For Windows users, insert the CD that came with your printer & runs the setup.
If u do not have a CD drive, or you're a Mac user, then please download the software.

Once u have made the necessary settings on your printer, the software will now temporarily disconnect your computer from your wire-less network & connect directly to your printer to configure the network settings.
Ur computer will re-connect to your wire-less network automatically once this has completed.

The printer driver software will now install & register onto your computer. This will take a few minutes to complete.

If this is the first time u're setting up your printer, it's recommended to perform the print head alignment. Click (Execute) to start the process & follow the on-screen instructions.

Restoring your printer’s network settings back to factory default. If u need to reset your network settings back to factory default, for example, if u change your access point, u can do so by following these instructions:
Please note that initialization erases all network settings on the machine, so printing or scanning from a computer over the network will become impossible until the printer is re-configured with new network settings.

The Windows Fax & Scan utility enables u to scan doc & pictures. Before u can scan doc & pictures u must have a scanner installed on your computer. Your scanner must be listed in the Devices section of the Devices & Printers Control Panel window.
To check to see if your scanner is properly installed open the Device Stage. Choose Start→Devices & Printers. If Windows doesn’t automatically find your scanner u can manually add it in the Devices & Printers window by clicking the Add a Device button in the toolbar & following the wizard’s commands.
Choose Start→All Programs→Windows Fax & Scan.

Click the Scan button in the Navigation pane then click the New Scan button on the toolbar.

Use the settings on the right to describe your scan.
